Queen Kapiolani Bougainvillea

Back in the saddle! Today was my first “New Digital Camera” class since the surgery. Two other classes were postponed because of rain or this stupid cold that has lingered for two weeks. I left the house a little early to fill the bike tires with air and still had an hour before class, so I biked up Kalakaua past the Shell and entered Queen Kapiolani Botanical Gardens from Monsarrat Avenue. I knew it would a great day when I was greeted by this incredible Bougainvillea in full bloom! It was a fun class! We had 3 “newbies,” one return student for a review, and one PhotoCon Hawaii prize winner (mostly review for her). It was a beautiful day. Good fun and 5 more people confirmed to be off of the “Auto sucks” mode!
